Chapter 7: Love Everyone

“So, what is the next principle?” I asked.

“Let’s discuss the role of love in our existence.” “Love? Seems simple enough.”

“It is both simpler, and more profound, than you have imagined. Love is the foundation of the universe. The world, the cosmos, the galaxy— all of the universes were created out of true, unequivocal, unconditional, pure love. God loves every single one of his creations. And he has creations all over the cosmos.”

“Are there other places like Earth?”

“Actually, those of us on Earth can often be the slow learners.” “What does that mean?”

“Well, for one thing, there are other creations that are much, much further ahead of Earth. Granted, they’ve had longer to progress than we have, but we humans also tend to make decisions that slow us down.”

“Decisions that move us in a different direction than God?” “Exactly. Free will comes with risks. And we tend to do everything we can to both test our free will, and sometimes even to prove we have it. We like to show that we can make whatever decisions we want to, without regard to the long-term impact.”

“The other creations don’t have free will?”

“They do, they just tend to be more obedient than we are, and so they progress faster. It’s a good thing, too.”

“It’s good that there are creations better than we are?”

“I didn’t say better. Remember that God loves all of us equally. And I mean all of us. Every single one of his creations. It isn’t a competition.”

“But you said that it’s a good thing. Why is that?”

“Because we need help. A lot of help. These other creations assist us in our current situation. The ones who help us the most, though, are usually either what you would call angels, or they could be loved ones who have passed on and have a connection with you. They help us to accelerate raising our frequency. They are called by God to help us. They help facilitate our growth, and help enhance true, unconditional love in the physical world.”

“How do they do that?”

“At its most basic, they pour energy into creating positive effects. They may give promptings that guide you in ways that prevent or mitigate harm, provide strength, or divert the course of an event here or there. Sometimes they help to close doors to help guide you to a better one that is opening.

“Everything they do is out of a sense of selfless service. Their service to you helps them to grow as well, but they are really there to serve your needs. And it is all done out of love.”

“Love?”

“Yes. God has created everything—absolutely everything—out of love.”

“But I don’t always feel love.”

“Any time you feel the presence of God, every time you feel love, that is His influence. His true influence. The only time you will ever feel anything other than love is because of the influence of mortality.”

I sensed a hesitation from Drake. Perhaps exasperation. There was more I could learn here, and I wanted to know what it was. Drake could sense my question.

“Yes, there is a religion on earth that has nothing to do with God.” “A religion?”

“I call it a religion. But I mean that in the broad sense of a system of attitudes, beliefs, and practices. I’d say it’s not an organized religion, except there are some organized institutions that promote it, and people flock to it. They adhere to this belief system as strongly as some people follow a religion pointed towards God.”

My curiosity was piqued. “What religion is it?”

“It’s the religion of darkness; the lowest frequencies of hate, envy, and fear. It’s a scourge across the entire planet. Its followers can be as fanatically devoted to it as a committed follower of God. They live it, breathe it, preach it to others.

“They seek converts to join them in their philosophy. There are people on earth who benefit from this religion. As long as they can keep drama and fear and loathing in the forefront of people’s minds, they can keep the world divided. And if the world is divided—if they can keep turning people against each other—then they believe they are winning. They believe that they are preventing humanity from raising their frequency of love.”

“Winning what?”

“The battle against Light. The battle against God. The battle against Love.”

“But why would anyone want to do that?”

“Like I said, some creations can be pretty slow sometimes.”

“But what can we do about it? I mean, hasn’t it always been that way?”

“It doesn’t have to be. And the more of you who live by Love and share Light with the world, the more it will touch others and show them the better way. When we love another person unconditionally, we create a connection with them. When we share Light, we are sharing any force that raises frequency. That connection and sharing can help to heal a lifetime of wounds.”

“But how do I do that?”

“You start with your own life. Where do you find sources of fear, of shame, of anger, of jealousy, of despising others? Look closely at those areas and recognize that they do not come from God. They are a threat to you and are the opposite of God. Those attitudes and emotions focus only on the mortal conditions in the material world, and the result is like a religion of darkness across the entire world. It’s all that some people think about, and it completely replaces any light and love from God.”

As I considered his words, I knew he was right, I could see how I had done that very thing. I didn’t even realize what it was doing to me.

“So, are we ever justified in being mad at someone?” I asked. “Mad at the person? Or mad at what they did?”

“I get it.”

“Do you?” I knew Drake knew the answer already.

“I think so. God loves everyone, no matter what they do, even if what they do hurts themselves or someone else.”

Drake smiled. “You’re starting to get it. I’ll admit, the concept can be a challenge to master. So many human relationships are conditional. How many times have you heard, ‘We were friends until they…’ and then there is some explanation as to why the friendship ended. We need to learn to love like God does—unconditionally. What you’re fighting against is your ego. Your ego is like weights in the gym. You can either stub your toe on it, or strain yourself against it, or use it carefully and intentionally to make yourself stronger. When you give love, it raises your own frequency, and can also help to raise the frequency of anyone receiving that love.”

“So how do I get better at loving everyone?”

“That brings us to the next principle you need to learn.”
