下面的人們也在興奮地呼喊，不時舉起雙手。人們湧向市政廳，廣場很快就被歡騰的人群填滿。管理層成員迅速出現在人們面前，擠在陽台上有空間的地方。其中一人舉起雙手示意安靜，人群逐漸平靜下來。
The people below were also shouting in excitement now and then lifting their arms upwards. People were flocking down the streets towards the city hall and soon the square was filled with a jubilant crowd. Members of the administration lost no time in appearing before the people, crowding onto the balcony wherever there was space. One of them raised their arms signally for quiet and the crowd gradually calmed down.

Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the square, the sciendologists poured out onto the balcony of the Academy building. The head sciendologist decided to make his own appeal to the city’s residents.
