Entity Parade
1/94
And so, the mass celebration of all these kind, friendly-looking people continued. Only now, something unusual began to spin and turn in the evening air. Suddenly, everywhere multi-colored translucent balls began to appear from all directions. They happily circled in the air and flew about among those walking the paths. People smiled and held out their palms for the balls to sit on like birds. Having sat for a short while, the balls assumed a more saturated color and then easily flew off and away in search of other raised palms.
2/94
“What is that? What are they doing?” asked Matilda.
3/94
“They are entities from the subtle world,” answered Itfut, “they are actively interested in our life. They like to attach themselves to us out of curiosity and to feed a little.”
4/94
“What do you mean, ‘feed a little’? You make them sound like vampires…”
5/94
“Don’t worry, they’re harmless. The majority of them at any rate. People are happy to share their energy with them, the energy of love.”
6/94
“Are there ones people should be wary of?”
7/94
“Yes, they are all different. The beautiful, transparent ones are the entities of love, gratitude, compassion, nobility, generosityand kindness. They carry the same qualities we have.”
8/94
「Futi,
“Futi, are you saying that how we are is down to these entities?”
9/94
“No, it’s not that simple. The main point is that at birth a person’s soul is like a blank sheet of paper. If an entity likes a person, they might settle near them and then the soul can acquire certain qualities.”
10/94
“You say incredible things!” said Matilda. “In my world people believe that a person becomes the way they are because of their relatives, society, the environment and circumstances...”
11/94
“That’s true, too, but all the things you mention contribute only indirectly to whether one or other entity will settle near an individual. A person becomes like the entities that are present in them.”
12/94
“It’s still hard to believe!”
13/94
“Yes, people tend to believe only in what they can see with their own eyes whereas entities are invisible, intangible. We are seeing them with our bare eyes now because the Gods are giving us the opportunity and also because the atmosphere of our ritual is saturated with the energy of kindness and love.
14/94
Mostly good, kind entities are attracted to energy of that kind.” “But can dark entities come in too?”
15/94
“Yes, but they’re usually attracted to a malevolent atmosphere. Look, look!A muddy looking ball has settled on someone!”
16/94
The friends saw a brown colored ball with muddy green spots land on a girl’s palm.
17/94
“That is an envy entity,” said Itfut. “Perhaps the girl was unlucky this evening.” “Oh, but what if the entity possesses her?” exclaimed Matilda.
18/94
Something else happened instead, however. The girl did not chase the entity away or accept it. She just smiled thoughtfully and gently blew on the ball sending it a ray of golden energy from her other palm. The ball swayed and swayed and then flew away.
19/94
“Wow!” said Matilda in surprise. “Is everyone that spiritually advanced?”
20/94
“No, of course not. We are all different, too,” said Itfut. “We get infected with all sorts of negative entities. And I’m no saint, either.”
21/94
“I still can’t believe how it can be that an entity settles in a person and is changed as a result...or that a person changes because the entity has settled near them... Is falling in love down to entities, too?”
22/94
“Exactly. Being in love is a manifestation of the entity of love. It will enter a person if they are ready to accept it but there has to be a potential object of that person’s love nearby, too.”
23/94
“Futi, you’re killing me! You really blow my mind with this stuff. How do you know all this?”
24/94
“Is it so hard to believe? Judge for yourself. You must have come across people who were living and perfectly normal, healthy life, and then suddenly for no obvious reason became immersed in some warped obsession. They can’t sleep, they suffer with imaginings, write poetry, commit all kinds of foolish acts, and can’t think about anything except the object of their passion. They have an entity. That’s the issue. They may be a pleasant individual in many ways, someone who usually lifts the spirits and warms the soul, but they can also be capable of tormenting a person if the object of their love expresses indifference.”
25/94
“Yes, when you put it like that…” Matilda agreed. “And when two people fall in love, does that mean that entities have settled in them both?”
26/94
“Yes, if you’re lucky of course. Love at first sight is proof of that. Again, ask yourself, why would two people meet and suddenly feel something that defies all rational explanation. Almost any feeling can be explained: something hurts, something pains, annoys or pleases you, and so on. The most important thing is that you understand what it is and why you’re feeling it. But can anyone explain what love is or why it appears so suddenly?”
27/94
“No, Futi, you have me completely flummoxed.”
28/94
“Right, and the reason why it is so inexplicable and indescribable is because of entities, which the average person has no clue about, mostly because they have never seen one. They don’t even know that they exist.”
29/94
Itfut
Itfut’s eyes suddenly lit up.
30/94
“Oh, Tili, look what’s happening over there!”
31/94
The friends watched two golden balls land simultaneously on the palms of one of the newly-formed couples.
32/94
“Now it’ll all kick off!” exclaimed Itfut.
33/94
The balls shook filled with an even richer gold color and without pausing for a moment floated right into the chest cells of the two lucky individuals. They gave each other a strange look and for some reason dropped hands but then half a step later they stood closer to each other and set off with an easy step wherever their feet took them. They walked side by side sometimes bumping into each other, sometimes standing apart.
34/94
“Lucky couple!” said Matilda. “It’s a good thing there aren’t any balls flying about on this side. An entity of envy would definitely have got its claws into me.”
35/94
“Don’t you have a chosen one?” asked Itfut. “That Victor… are you and he…” “I don’t know. There’s definitely something between us but it’s confusing.”
36/94
“Don’t worry. Entities don’t always come straight away and very rarely do they come to two people at the same time. You have to be patient. It takes attention and care. In order for a miracle to happen, you have to nurture it, work at it, not with the mind and not with the body but with the soul. That pair was incredibly lucky.”
37/94
“It makes me uncomfortable to think now of how people worked with their bodies in our theatre. If we compare our two worlds, we have outright depravity and you are all innocence itself.”
38/94
“It’s not quite like that. Do you think that innocence is the ideal?”
39/94
“Well, all our so-called highly spiritual personalities call us to innocence, to the sublime and the spiritual at the same time as judging the so-called low and carnal. And how are we to argue with them? They have the upper hand because they are the righteous.”
40/94
“Your righteous ones aren’t necessarily right. And what you had in the theater was not so much a falling into sin as a revealing of one side of life, even call it love if you like. I told you, I liked it.”
41/94
“But why?” asked Matilda surprised.
42/94
“Because there are two sides to love: Tenderness and Strength.”
43/94
“Okay. Tenderness I can understand but how does Strength show itself?”
44/94
“Strength manifests as just that, Strength. It manifests in expression and even to some extent in aggression.”
45/94
“In aggression towards the person you love?”
46/94
“It’s a different kind of aggression. It’s difficult to explain, like being in love.” “You mean sex?”
47/94
(Unity of heart and mind)。」
“Yes, there is duality to love, like so much in this world, and it is made up of two entities: Tenderness and Strength. They have to exist in harmony, in unity.
48/94
Without Tenderness, Strength is violence. Without Strength, Tenderness is simply sugary sweet. Even a medicine is only effective when it contains a moderate dose of poison.”
49/94
「Futi,
“Futi, how do you know all this stuff?”
50/94
“I couldn’t say exactly but I suspect that in the course of talking to you, I am remembering the things I was taught and had forgotten.”
51/94
“So, you say that love has two types of entity. Which type settled in that pair?”
52/94
“Tenderness is a golden color. Strength is more purple. So far, they have only tender feelings for one another, but that’s just for now.”
53/94
“Aaaa! So, there you are, Futi! That’s why your coloring is purple!”
54/94
“I am neither one nor the other. I can be different things. Evidently, back then, I wanted Strength to prevail and that’s why I was made up like this.”
55/94
“And so, in reality, sometimes these same entities of Strength settle in a pair in love?” asked Matilda. “And then they’ll have a stormy night of passion?”
56/94
“Yes, if they let it in,” answered Itfut. “In what sense?”
57/94
“Remember, you said that the reason your actors don’t remove their masks is because not everyone is able to look another in the eye at such moments because they might glimpse hell?”
58/94
“Yes, there is that.”
59/94
“So, what do you think? Why is that? Why does this unusual instinct arise in a normal, balanced person like some infernal fire that lights up their eyes making them seem like a different person altogether? It is impossible to explain the condition and cause of being in love. Defining sex is just as impossible.”
60/94
“Yes, I’m beginning to understand it though. Sex happens because the entity of Strength has entered them.”
61/94
“It enters if a person allows it to and accepts it, but if a person is frightened by the thought of changing and can’t accept themselves in that form then Tenderness remains without Strength and then there is no sex and eventually Tenderness itself is lost.”
62/94
“An interesting philosophy,” remarked Matilda. “It sounds logical to me.” “It’s not a philosophy,” said Itfut, “it’s just how things are.”
63/94
“So, you have to let yourself go and allow Strength in?”
64/94
“Exactly, there can be no love without Tenderness but without Strength love will eventually fade, too. The creator made love a dual reality for very good reason. Almost everything in life is dual in nature. A world in which there is only evil is doomed. Such a world simply could not exist. Don’t you think? And a world in which there is only good is equally doomed.”
65/94
“It’s true. Ideal worlds obviously don’t exist.”
66/94
“And because they don’t exist, there must be a balance between good and evil, between Tenderness and Strength, or righteousness and sin as you call it. So, there is nothing wrong with your theatre except that it lacks Tenderness. You should add a little more Tenderness.”
67/94
“Yes, I understand. Still, if I had to choose between my world and yours, you can guess which I would choose?”
68/94
“Your own?”
69/94
“No. Mine may be familiar to me but yours suits my soul.”
70/94
“You see, we have solved our dilemma of either being in our own different worlds or staying together.”
71/94
“Yes, that’s great but there’s another dilemma. We have a saying, ‘the grass it always greener on the other side.’ As soon as you get to where the grass appears greener, the picture unfolds, and everything turns out different from how you expected.”
72/94
“Yes, I know, I know. We’ll see how things go but first, we have to get out of here.”
73/94
In the meantime, the square and the pathways had almost emptied as the people set off home. Only now did Maltilda notice that aside from the trees and shrubs, the length of the alley was lined with sculptures.
74/94
“What are those statues?” she asked. “That’s the pantheon of our Gods.” “How many are there?”
75/94
“There is one Supreme Creator, but he has helpers.”
76/94
“It would be nice to take a closer look... Oh!” Matilda suddenly became very excited. “Look, in the same dress as yours, who is that?”
77/94
“That’s me, I suppose,” said Itfut with a note of sadness in her voice.
78/94
“You mean, they’ve already buried you? That didn’t take them long, the bastards!”
79/94
“What else were they to do? I disappeared; I don’t know how long ago. And all these tricks with time... Maybe years have passed.”
80/94
“Hang on, there’s an inscription beneath your statue. It looks like it reads...Tufti!”
81/94
Itfut froze becoming as still as her statue. She stood motionless without uttering a word. Frightened, Matilda started tugging at her.
82/94
“Futi, come back! What’s wrong? Oh, my God! It’s your name only spelt backwards!”
83/94
“I knew it... No, I sensed something...” said the priestess barely audibly and stammering as if lost. “They called me Tufti but for some reason, here, I became Itfut.”
84/94
“Hooray! We’ve found your second name!” Matilda was totally delighted while the priestess still could not quite get used to it.
85/94
“Well, it’s nothing to be surprised about! We’re on the other side of reality and here, just as it should be, everything is the other way around.”
86/94
Ilit?」
“Yes, but not everything. Your name is the same here as it was before.” “Yes, that’s odd. Then, what should my other name be here? Ilit?” As this thought came to her, Matilda went completely wild. She started whirling about, jumping and shouting.
87/94
“I’m Ilit! I’m Ilit! And you’re Tufti! And I’m Ilit! Almost like Lilith, Adam’s first wife! Woot-la!”
88/94
Tu-u-uf-ti-i-i!
Itfut tried to calm Matilda down, but Matilda was not having any of it. She ran behind the priestess and called to her, “Tufti! Tu-u-uf-ti-i-i! What an exotic name you have! Soft like a feather bed! I’m going to call you Tufti! No, sometimes I’m going to call you what I did before, my Futichka, Futi!”
89/94
「Tu-u-uf-ti-i-i!」
“Okay, Okay, Tili-Ilit, Ilit-Tili! Calm down!” “Tu-u-uf-ti-i-i!”
90/94
Tufti!」
Matilda was not letting up. “Okay, Okay, that’s it. I’m calm now. Tufti!”
91/94
“Well there we go, we’ve found my second name and even yours, too.” said Itfut. “But I’m still so astounded, I can’t think straight.”
92/94
“It’ll soon pass. Threshold said that Knowledge would gradually come back to you.”
93/94
“Let’s hope so. Maybe your second name will come in handy... Oh, look, the mirror is returning to its screen saver.”
94/94
The image of the miraculous world of priestess Itfut gradually dissolved and the mirror was again filled with the image of slow splashing waves and palms whose wide leaves swayed in the wind. And just as before, the friends remained beyond the reach of our reality. Still beyond the reach...
87/94
Woot-la!」
“I’m Ilit!
89/94
“Tu-u-uf-ti-i-i!”
